Overview

We are looking for an experienced Test Architect to support a major transformation programme with a financial services company

The client is undertaking significant changes to its data platform and operating model, including a major change to the way its staff are remunerated, creating a substantial programme of change across data, technology and finance.

The Roles

We are looking for an experienced Non-Functional & Performance Test Architect to join a central testing function within a major transformation environment.

This is a strategic role focused on defining and implementing company-wide testing strategy, standards and processes, with a particular emphasis on non-functional and performance testing.

The organisation is looking to move testing further upstream in the project lifecycle, ensuring performance, scalability, resilience and other non-functional considerations are addressed from the outset rather than towards the end of delivery.

This is an opportunity for someone who is proactive and comfortable establishing best practice, creating standards and embedding a stronger testing culture across the organisation.

You should have:

  • Extensive experience in Non-Functional and Performance Testing.
  • Proven experience operating as a Test Architect, Performance Test Architect or similar senior testing role.
  • Strong experience defining testing strategies and organisational standards.
  • Experience establishing testing processes and governance from the ground up.
  • A strong understanding of performance, scalability, resilience and capacity testing.
  • Experience embedding testing earlier into the software development lifecycle.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • The ability to work with senior technical and business stakeholders.
  • A proactive, hands-on approach to identifying problems and establishing solutions.
  • Experience working within complex enterprise environments.
  • The ability to provide strategic direction while remaining close enough to delivery to ensure standards are practical and effective.
