Test & Qualification Engineer

iO Associates are currently partnered with a research driven engineering organisation in the Leuven region, looking for an Engineer to support reliability testing and qualification activities on a 12‑month contract. This role focuses on ensuring that complex electronic devices meet stringent reliability requirements for use in demanding and high‑performance environments. You’ll define the qualification approach, coordinate external testing partners, and deliver the technical reporting required for customer acceptance.

Location: Leuven, Belgium
Length: 12 Months
Working Model: Hybrid
Rate: €80-€120 p/h

Responsibilities:

• Develop a structured qualification plan for advanced electronic components
• Coordinate test execution with external laboratories and specialist service providers
• Act as the main technical interface for suppliers, test houses, and customers
• Prepare documentation, progress updates, and customer facing presentations
• Produce the final qualification report summarising results and compliance

Your Profile:

• Experience defining qualification strategies and interpreting mission profile requirements
• Familiarity with major reliability and qualification standards, including: AEC‑Q100, ESCC‑9000, JESD22, JESD47, MIL‑STD‑883
• Understanding of device‑level testing and reliability concepts
• Knowledge of radiation related testing such as Total Ionizing Dose (TID) and Single Event Effects (SEE)
• Ability to perform statistical evaluations and capability analyses

You’ll join a collaborative engineering environment working on technically challenging projects with real‑world impact. Expect a mix of hands‑on testing coordination, technical analysis, and cross‑functional communication.
