Thermal Runaway Expert (Battery Systems)

Bristol – Hybrid (2/3 Days Onsite)

6 Month Contract

£52 per Hour – Outside IR35

Thermal Runaway Expert is required for an innovative engineering organisation developing next-generation electrification and battery technologies within a highly regulated environment.

This role is ideal for an experienced battery specialist with a strong background in Lithium-Ion battery systems and expertise in thermal runaway mitigation and battery safety. You will work alongside multidisciplinary engineering teams to support the design, development, and validation of advanced battery systems.

Required Skills & Experience

• Deep technical expertise in Lithium-Ion Battery Systems gained within automotive or similarly complex engineering industries.
• Strong understanding of Systems Engineering principles and product development lifecycles.
• Expertise in at least one these: Thermal Runaway, Fire Protection Design, Liquid Cooling System Design, Composite Design, Injection Moulding
• Experience working on safety-critical or highly regulated engineering programmes.
• CATIA and/or 3DEXPERIENCE (3DX) experience would be beneficial.
