Role: User Researcher
Length: Initial 6-month
Day Rate: £550 p/d Inside IR35
Location: London or Manchester (Hybrid)
We’re supporting a major UK Government department looking for a User Researcher to join their team on a contract basis.
As a key member of a multidisciplinary team, here are your core responsibilities:
- Lead research efforts specifically aimed at uncovering and addressing digital inclusion and accessibility hurdles.
- Create and execute tailored research plans ranging from deep-dive interviews to broad surveys to solve specific service challenges.
- Transform raw data into actionable, evidence-led intelligence that guides team strategy.
- Deliver compelling presentations and reports to stakeholders, ensuring research limitations and findings are transparent.
- Champion the needs of underserved populations to directly influence policy and service design.
We are looking for a pragmatic researcher who thrives in complex, fast-paced environments. The ideal candidate brings:
- A proven ability to explore and articulate the impact of accessibility issues within digital services.
- The ability to provide firm recommendations even when faced with incomplete data or external constraints.
- Experience engaging with senior leadership to explain complex research methodologies and outcomes.
- A track record of influencing product decisions through evidence and peer-to-peer collaboration.
- Strong organisational skills to maintain high research standards while managing multiple priorities.
