Mechanical Design Engineer

iO have partnered with an engineering consultancy near Westbury in Wilt shire who design and deliver tools and equipment that will operate in extreme environments to the Oil & Gas industry.

You should be an expert in materials, understanding their tolerances and engineering manufacturing processes. With hands on experience conducting theoretical analysis and mathematical modelling of complex machined parts, you will also be responsible for the full product life-cycle, giving you the chance to really influence your work and the opportunity to see your work through from start to finish.

Brief overview of skills:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Extensive experience with Sheet Metal design including stainless steel
• CAD: Solidworks, AutoCAD
• Demonstrable theoretical analysis and mathematical modelling experience to support concept development and design verification
• Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes and project management

Desirable skills:

• Electro-Mechanical Design experience
• Prototyping and testing
