Position: Mechanical Systems Engineer

Pay rate: £38 p/h inside IR35.

location: Filton, UK

Role Type: 06 Month Contract with extension

Position: Hybrid

IO Associates seeks a Mechanical Systems Engineer for the Filton site. Join a global aerospace leader specializing in commercial and military aircraft, helicopters, defense, and space sectors. Responsibilities

  • Spearhead root cause investigations and implement solutions for mechanical issues, ensuring compliance with safety standards within the Mechanical Systems (Gears) team.
  • Lead the development and qualification of new systems, rigorously validating and verifying requirements to meet higher-level standards.
  • Interface with Systems Design Certification Specialists and technical signatories, ensuring robust compliance with certification requirements and methodologies.
  • Manage budget and schedule adherence, actively mitigating risks and seizing opportunities, while maintaining timely communication, to ensure the delivery of Landing Gears mechanical systems in line with Safety, Time/Cost/Quality standards and commitments.

Skills Required

  • Possess comprehensive knowledge and experience in developing Mechanical systems, emphasizing hydro-mechanical components, and applying robust systems engineering methodology, particularly in requirements management.
  • Demonstrate effective leadership and communication skills, with a strong background in Engineering, systems, and equipment design.
  • Hold a degree in Engineering or a related discipline, showcasing a proven track record of successful task management, delivering projects within specified Time, Cost, and Quality parameters.
