Senior Electrical Engineer
📍 UK-based | Hybrid Working | Permanent | Competitive Salary
A well-established, rapidly expanding engineering consultancy is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join their team, delivering technically complex and resilient electrical design solutions across HV, MV, and LV systems. This is a client-facing role involving detailed system design, site visits, and leadership within multi-disciplinary project teams.
The Role:
Lead and support electrical system design from concept through to construction.
Deliver compliant, technically robust designs in line with UK, European, and international standards.
Liaise with clients, contractors, and other consultants throughout project life cycles.
Produce technical reports, specifications, equipment schedules, and drawings.
Conduct site visits, condition surveys, and support commissioning activities.
Promote best practice in sustainability, energy efficiency, and health & safety.
Key Requirements:
5+ years' post-graduate experience in electrical engineering, ideally with consultancy exposure.
Strong experience in HV/MV/LV power distribution, UPS systems, and generator integration.
Proficiency in Amtech for cable calculations; lighting and small power system design knowledge essential.
Chartered or working towards CEng status (IET/CIBSE accredited degree desirable).
Strong communication, leadership, and team coordination skills.
Desirable Experience:
System modelling, fault analysis, and resilience planning.
Involvement in factory acceptance and integrated systems testing.
Fire alarm, access control, data cabling, and security systems design.
Understanding of BSRIA BG6, BIM processes, CDM regulations, and project risk management.
