Job title: Project Engineer/Technical Shopfloor Engineer

Location: Broughton, Chester, UK

Job type: 12 month's Contract

Salary: £36.00 per hour Umbrella

Shift Pattern: Double Day Shift Pattern (20% uplift)

Alternating weeks of morning and afternoon Monday to Friday

Mornings - 6:00am - 1:10pm

Afternoons - 1:30pm - 8:40pm

iO Associates are seeking for a Project Engineer/Technical Shopfloor Engineer to work with one of the top businesses that create, produce, and provide customers with aerospace goods and services. They oversee the production of commercial aircraft, including helicopters, spacecraft, and defence systems.

Required:

  • Strong background in project and manufacturing engineering, ideally with CAPEX exposure and experience in aircraft production processes, engineering methods, and regulatory compliance.
  • Proven ability to manage projects effectively, demonstrating autonomy, adaptability, proactive problem-solving, and excellent communication skills.
  • Commitment to customer focus and product safety, with experience supporting non-conformity reduction initiatives.
  • HNC qualification preferred, with a solid understanding of engineering procedures and industry standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Work alongside the production team / Autonomous Production Team (APT) to provide end-to-end shopfloor support and ensure efficient resource and knowledge utilization.
  • Assist in identifying, analyzing, and resolving technical issues beyond the scope of Operators and First Line Managers (FLM).
  • Drive operational excellence by supporting continuous improvement initiatives and contributing to process optimization.
  • Support the detection and management of non-conformances on the shopfloor to maintain quality standards
