2nd/3rd Line Support Engineer - Trading Systems

Entrepreneurial FinTech business is wanting to hire a Second Line / Third Line Support Engineer to join it's IT Operation Team and help support it's FX trading systems.

How your day will look:

• Manage and supporting (widely deployed) foreign exchange transaction systems.
• Provide level 1 and 2 support for these production systems. Serving as the initial technical contact for Brokers and Exchanges.
• Troubleshoot and analyse performance issues.
• Monitor and report on system status.
• Architect new solutions to enhance trading systems, thereafter, assisting in the design and implementation of production systems to increase reliability.

Experience required:

• IT Support or Technical Support background within a Bank, Hedge Fund or Trading Software Vendor.
• Good knowledge of Linux Operating Systems (Any flavour welcome, as being capable of navigating around command lines).
• Excellent Scripting skills, (Python is preference), however Perlt, Bash, or Shell all welcome.
• An understanding of SQL and relational databases.

Desirable experience required:

• Bachelor's degree within a STEM subject.
• C++ coding skills.
