Senior Aerostructures Engineer

iO Associates is currently partnered with a leading aerospace client seeking a Senior Aerostructures Engineer to provide technical expertise and leadership in the design, analysis, and development of aerostructures for a major aviation program. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the structural integrity and performance of next-generation aircraft.

As part of a dynamic and innovative team, you'll be responsible for aerostructures design, stress analysis, materials selection, and manufacturing processes, ensuring compliance with stringent aerospace standards.


Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience in aerospace engineering with a focus on aerostructures design and analysis.
  • Strong proficiency in FEA software and CAD tools (e.g., CATIA, NX).
  • Intermediate skills (B1 level or above) in French
  • Expertise in structural analysis, aerospace materials, and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience with aircraft certification processes and regulatory requirements (FAA, EASA).
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
  • Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and development of aerostructures components and assemblies, optimizing for performance, weight, and manufacturability.
  • Perform structural analysis and calculations using FEA and hand methods to validate strength, stiffness, and fatigue life.
  • Select appropriate materials and manufacturing processes, collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Support integration and testing of aerostructures components, including static, dynamic, and fatigue tests.
  • Ensure compliance with aerospace regulatory standards and quality assurance processes.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, prepare technical reports, and support program milestones.
