My client is looking for a Gelato Chef to join the team near Hackney. They are an award winning Gelato company based near Hackney, Started by two Italian chefs, my client has been supplying various restaurants and café through their network with proper Italian gelato, however they are now receiving orders from the likes of Tesco and Waitrose, so business is beginning to boom.

They need someone with experience of making small batch gelato to join the team. You will need a Level 2 Food Safety cert and ideally have experience of using batch freezers and pasteurisers. As well as this you will need to have good communication and work well in a team.

They will also consider people with strong pastry backgrounds too. You will be joining a small team of 4 other chefs and the role is full time around 45-50 hours a week.

The salary is very much dependant on your experience, so can range from £22,000-£35,000. There is plenty of growth and progression as it is a small company with big growth plans.
