An opportunity has arisen to lead Global Supplier Quality Assurance for a major food manufacturing company who have a long standing heritage of success built on high quality products and brands that are loved by families all over the world. Not prepared to rest on their laurels and fine reputation the company continues to innovate and strive to fulfil their mission to deliver happiness to their customers.

The Head of Global Supplier Quality Assurance will lead 6 teams of great professionals across the world. The role is responsible for developing, leading and driving the Supplier Quality Assurance strategy covering all Quality and Food safety activities from supplier selection and approval through to improvement and performance delivery. You will be responsible for setting the standards and processes for each region ensuring the teams have the capability and resource to deliver the strategy and empowering them to have full ownership and accountability to be successful. Developing individual road-maps with each of the region and build a strong relationship with other key functions/stakeholders particularly Procurement, R&D and Supply Chain.

Key Deliverables:

  • Provide leadership for the Supplier Quality Assurance portfolio globally, working in partnership with Procurement and other stakeholder functions to create and deliver a world class SQA strategy
  • Working with key stakeholders to define the SQA operating standards in key areas - including supplier risk assessments, approval and on-boarding processes
  • Develop audit/auditor ways of working and competency requirements.
  • Develop Supplier Relationship Management process/systems with Global Procurement.
  • Define individual roadmaps for each of the region to deliver the agreed strategy using a priority based approach
  • Develop Supplier Quality measurements including performance dashboard.
  • Coordinate the global risk universe to inform response strategies for the business

Requirements

  • Ability to deal with ambiguity within a complex and multicultural environment
  • Proven ability to work with cross-functional team, with a collaborative mindset
  • Proven leadership and influencing skills
  • Strong analytical skills , data focused approach
  • Previous work experience in a global matrix organisation
  • Significant experience in a supplier-facing role
  • Strong background in quality food safety management
