Role Specifics:

Software Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Engage in embedded software design and development with an understanding of electronics hardware.
  • Participate in multi-discipline development project teams using an agile scrum methodology.
  • Maintain best practice product development techniques, including training and self-learning.
  • Produce full and accurate project/product documentation.
  • Collaborate with product management, project management, and R&D teams.
  • Support hardware testing to meet BS, EN & ISO standards.
  • Conduct design and code review exercises to minimise errors.
  • Support production activity during and after the launch of new products.

Firmware Design Responsibilities:

  • Produce high-level and detailed design documentation.
  • Implement design in C to achieve real-time constraints.
  • Minimise power consumption in the design.
  • Develop modular firmware design using libraries, version control, and bug tracking.
  • Conduct design verification, including unit tests and quality verification tools.
  • Manage version control of software artefacts.

Electronics Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Produce high-level and detailed design documentation for analogue and digital circuits.
  • Utilise microcontrollers and microprocessor technology in circuit design.
  • Achieve low power consumption in designs.
  • Engage in addressable fire system design.
  • Work in multi-discipline development project teams using agile scrum.
  • Maintain best practice product development techniques.
  • Participate in hardware testing to meet BS, EN & ISO standards.
  • Support production activity during and after the launch of new products.
