A revolutionary company that are looking to digitalize the way in which modern energy is distributed and monitored are on the search for a hugely important candidate who will be serving as an Information Governance & Data Protection Specialist, reporting directly to the Head of Information Governance. This organisation aims to connect the entirety of the UK by transforming the energy infrastructure of the nation, and as such, the Head of Information Governance is critical to the Smart Energy rollout in the UK.

As an Information Governance & Data Protection Specialist, you will be an essential component of a small yet integral team which will be responsible for contributing to the development and implementation of key Information Management Framework products and artefacts. You will play a critical role in driving continuing development of important information governance initiatives aimed at ensuring my client is compliant across all areas of the business.

Essential:

• Knowledge and practical application of Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIA).
• Document development (Policies, Standards, Procedures, Guidelines).
• Demonstrable experience of the practical application of data protection legislation in a corporate setting, ideally in a data-driven environment.
• Experience in information security and working within an ISO27001 certified environment.
