IT Security Manager

I am keen to speak with experienced IT managers who are confident leading security standards within a SAAS setting.

I have been speaking with a thriving software company who really live and breath a collaborative and supportive working environemnt.

Based in Manchester City Centre... one of the best cities to work right now... you will have a hybrid work pattern, ideally 3-4 days onsite.

As IT Security Manager you will oversee the IT Administration team and take lead on the company's security practices and policies.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the company's long-term vision while advancing your career in quality assurance.

Your day to day responsiblities will be to:

  1. Design, implement and monitor Information Security and Cyber security policies and processes.

  2. Leading ISO piece (security, audits, protocols, governance, compliance to ISO27001, cyber essential standards.)
  3. Lead end-to-end planning, training, and continuous improvement of security approaches.
  4. Manage InfoSec projects and operational governance aligned with industry standards.
  5. Oversee reports, third-party testing, and cybersecurity threat analysis.
  6. Conduct security assessments with internal and external parties.
  7. Coordinate security incident response and provide regular updates to the Board.

The ideal candidate for this role will tick all of the below.

  1. Expertise in data privacy laws, InfoSec, and industry best practices.

  2. ISO certified / auditing qualifications

  3. Previous line management responsibilities

  4. Relevant industry certifications, such as the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).

  5. Proactive in balancing compliance and commercial needs.
  6. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  7. Skilled in identifying and addressing incident trends
