iO have partnered with a market leading metrology company looking to onboard an experienced Senior Controls Engineer to join their design team on a permanent basis.
The successful candidate will be designing fully automated measurement systems and one-off fixtures, from simple to the most complex measurement challenges. With clients in the Aerospace, Automotive and Orthopaedic industries you will be working with some high-profile clients and no two projects will be the same.

Responsibilities:
Working closely with Controls Manager and Mechanical Design Engineers and Technicians throughout the whole of the product development lifecycle.

• Understanding customer requirements
• Critical appraisal of designs
• Software design in C++
• PLC software design

Key skills (not limited to):

• Experience coding in C++ on Windows
• Experience in electrical systems design
• Fault finding on electrical and electronic systems
• Ability to develop solutions for complex problems

You will be joining a small team that are part of a much larger company, as a result you will be designing bespoke product to client specification.
