iO are delighted to bring you the next interview in our group, ‘The Defence Series’. This interview was with Director of Military Digitisation, Thomas Copinger-Symes.
Major General Thomas Copinger-Symes is a British Army Officer, who served as General Officer Commanding Force Troops Command until 2019, and currently serves as Director of Military Digitisation, Strategic Command.
In this interview, Business Manager Danny Watts spoke with Major General Thomas Copinger-Symes about his role in digitising the British Military and what that means for a soldier on the front line.
Some of the topics discussed included:
·Tom’s journey in the military and how he came to be involved in this leading role within the digitisation of the military.
·How Tom has found leading a digital program, coming from a non-digital background and key lessons he has learnt along the way.
