The region’s success isn’t coincidental, it’s built on the strength of world-class universities like RWTH Aachen and WHU, as well as targeted support programmes such as Scale-Up.NRW, which are helping young companies scale faster and smarter.

What’s especially striking is how founders are navigating the current climate. With capital flows slower and due diligence processes stretching out, visibility has become more valuable than ever. Events like chiotec and GITEX aren’t just branding opportunities, they’re vital tools for founders to meet partners, attract talent, and open the right investor conversations. We’ve seen startups use these platforms to create momentum, even in the absence of immediate funding.
