2D Retail Designer - £300 Per Day - Malmesbury/Remote - 6-Month Contract - INSIDE IR35

One of the leading technology companies in the UK are looking to bring on board a 2D Retail Designer to join their retail team and support them with determining what their direct retail experience looks like and how it should be run.

You would be responsible for designing and artworking 2D assets for 3rd party retail systems, retail stores, creating store communications/content for the client's global markets and support the expansion of the client's retail estate worldwide.

Key Activities and Responsibilities

  • Work with the senior retail team to ensure that displays incorporate the latest instore design thinking and 2D directives.
  • Deliver presentations for Group projects and client markets containing visuals, specs and full technical drawing packs if required.
  • Enforce brand values in store whilst working within retailer constraints.
  • Provide conceptual thinking whilst delivering commercially viable solutions.
  • Along with key functional stakeholders, own, drive and deliver retail projects that are suitably planned, governed, resourced, and managed, working collaboratively in function and across teams, resolving day to day challenges.
  • Mitigate and escalate issues where necessary to senior management.
  • Work on multiple projects whilst delivering on challenging deadlines.
  • Keep abreast of the latest product developments to ensure that displays are future proofed.
  • Work with the development and production team to take concepts to manufacture or design intent.

Experience

  • Design degree.
  • 3 years + POS and / or retail graphic design / commercial design experience.
  • Expert in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
  • Experience working with complex brand guidelines
  • Freehand sketching.
  • Understanding of graphic design and instore communication.
  • Working knowledge of model making/prototyping, materials, and production processes.
  • Cardboard engineering experience is desirable.
  • Ability to multitask is paramount. Excellent time management, presentation, and communication skills
