iO Associates seeks a 2nd Line WAN Engineer to work with our client in Solihull Area. Job Title: 2nd Line WAN Engineer

Location: Solihull, UK

Job Type: Permanent

Salary: Up to £35k per annum

You will join a skilled team in Solihull, managing and supporting a new Juniper Core Network (MCN) WAN estate.

Required:

• A strong background in configuring and optimizing network components for secure and efficient communication.
• Experience in Juniper SRX platform with CLI experience and routing/switching knowledge.
• BGP (Border Gateway Protocol) expertise, load balancing techniques.
• Experience in configuring, trouble shooting and tuning Juniper network devices.
• Familiarity with IPSEC, MPLS, and certificate-based VPN authentication

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to regional customer satisfaction as a 2nd Line WAN Engineer.
• Support and investigate SRX routers for 24/7 BAU operations, ensuring secure network delivery.
• Configure SRX series routers to meet project deadlines and enable global network service delivery.
• Join a small, skilled team in Solihull to manage and support the new Juniper Core Network (MCN) WAN estate.
• Perform daily duties including project implementations, support escalations, and fault finding.
