Automation Engineer - Bristol - £45,000 - £50,000

I'm currently working with a systems integrator in Bristol that are actively recruiting for a Senior Automation Engineer to join them on a permanent basis.

I've worked with this company for the best part of a decade and can attest to the great working environment and excellent management that the company boast and I am delighted that they have steered a course through the uncertainty and are now looking beyond the lockdown.

One thing that has been apparent is that manufacturing companies, or any business that employs automated control systems, has had a chance to look at their business and start to realise that systems need updating and efficiency could be massively improved. This has led to a healthy order book, meaning that my clients reputation as a reliable and professional systems integrator is reaping the benefits of quality of work.

Right now they are looking for someone with experience that can deliver on a diverse project portfolio with PLC/SCADA based Automation as well as providing a level of mentorship to junior members of staff.
Key skills they are looking for:

• End to end PLC/SCADA development experience
• Commercially available PLC experience (they mainly use Rockwell and Siemens but others will be considered)
• Ability to work individually or as part of a team (I know this is generic but they're projects range from tens of thousands up to multimillions so this is an important factor for them).

It is important that you are able to commute to Bristol on a daily basis. While flexibility is available, as this role will require mentoring of junior staff, you will need to be at the office in Bristol for a good amount of time.

Salary on offer is £45,000 - £50,000 for the right candidate, with flexibility for the right person as well as a flexible working policy, pension and bonus.
