Location: Newcastle upon Tyne
Salary: £25,000 - £40,000 Benefits: Personal tech budgets, flex working, cycle to work scheme, opportunities to learn and develop

iO Associates are currently working with a Newcastle based company that focus on creating and engineering client solutions to help their businesses operate better. Due to existing client work and new client acquisition, they are now looking for Back-End Engineers to join their journey.

Being passionate about your craft, the team are looking for you to be keeping up-to-date with advancements in your field, including both hardware and software advancements. A natural leaning towards learning and teaching will fit well with the collaborative nature of the development teams.
Key skills required:

• Experienced in building REST API's
• Strong server side programming (PHP, Node, Python)
• RDBMS experience (MySQL, PostgreSQL
• Previously have worked with 3rd party API's
• Exposure to NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis, ElasticSearch)
• An understanding of Linux server admin
• Experience of using cloud services (Digital Ocean, Amazon Web Services)
• Worked with docker containers and virtual machines

Prior experience of working within a consultancy or freelance would be advantageous, but not essential.
