I am currently recruiting for a pioneering engineering business, who as specialists in the Industrial and Energy sectors, are leading the way with some exciting new projects across Europe, that have resulted in the need for expansion of their high-performance Surface Treatment & Heavy Industry unit.

The desired profile must be able to assume the dual role of technical coordinator and project manager. In other words, we are looking for a hybrid profile between the Project Manager and the Project Engineer.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Main responsibilities

The business manager coordinates and manages several projects with the main objectives of ensuring compliance of results with budgets, meeting deadlines and customer satisfaction in complete autonomy.

  • Client management:

- Ensure relations with the client from the establishment of the acknowledgment of receipt of the project until the final acceptance of the installation

- Document the client on all the desired aspects and check the consistency of contractual and technical information

- Define the channels of communication with the client and suppliers

  • Project management:

- Define the project organisation chart with the definition of external and internal partners

- Initiate and lead project monitoring meetings

- Lead the technical team assigned to the project

- Approve and ensure the consistency of the plans and technical information produced by him and / or the Business Technicians on the projects for which he is responsible (Layout plan, section, PID, calculation note, detailed plan, technical specifications, etc.)

- Prepare production, packaging, assembly files and customer technical documentation and ensure follow-up with the various internal and external stakeholders.

- Formalise experience feedback from the project & lead continuous improvement

  • Planning management

- Define, set up and monitor the project schedule

- Define the measures to be taken to meet the deadlines

  • Management of the financial situation

- Define, implement and monitor the financial situation of the project

- Define the measures to be taken to comply with the project financial situation

  • Project risk management

- Analyse project risks, establish a list and keep them up to date

- Define and monitor the action plan to limit the identified risks

Candidate Profile:

  • BAC + 4 / BAC + 5 of technical training, in mechanics, industrial engineering. Or acquired by experience
  • Mastery of 2D and 3D CAD design (preferably in Solidworks);
  • Experience in the heavy industry sector (steel industry, metals, surface treatment)
  • Experience in managing complex technical and industrial projects
  • Proficiency in French and professional English;
