C&I Design Engineer

Up to £60k per year

Remote (Site visits once a week or month)

A C&I DESIGN ENGINEER is needed by one of the UK-based businesses that offers low-carbon energy generation, distribution, and energy management solutions to various industries.

This is a PERMANENT role, focusing on utilizing and applying essential technical expertise in Control and Instrumentation systems. This will include actively engaging in the specification, design, progress, and execution of Electrical, Control & Instrumentation systems.

Responsibilities:

Generating control systems documentation and software specifications.
Evaluating and documenting project requirements, and formulating design proposals.
Assess and capture project requirements, developing design proposal

Skills Required/Must Have:

Knowledge of PLC and SCADA systems, BMS, CAD.
Experience with green technologies such as Solar Systems, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), Combined Heat and Power (CHP), Boilers, District Heating
Knowledge of control system protocols (Modbus, MBUS, BACnet, PROFINET, Ethernet etc.)
Good understanding of EC&I documents (SLDs, P&IDs, C&Es, Schematics etc.)
