Location: Swindon (once a week in the office)

Day rate: £400 - £440pd (Inside IR35)

Length: 9 months

One of our established clients are looking for a Commercial Manager to join them on a contract basis up until the end of March

The business themselves was created in 2017 to bring together the seven research councils, and strengthen the UK's research and innovation landscape. They are the national funding agency investing in science and research in the UK, operating across the whole of the UK with a combined budget of more than £6 billion

You will work within the Business Systems and Insights team, managing all third-party and in-house suppliers to ensure that contract renewals are managed on-time, and that new procurements are managed to standards.

They are looking for you to have experience in the following:

• Procurement experience within Government
• Experience of line management of a commercial team
• Experience of budget management in excess of £10m
• Experience of resource and capacity management
• Evidenced experience of cost avoidance and savings
• Evidenced experience of budget planning and financial forecasting
