I am working with a client to find a skilled Data Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis. My client has a portfolio of market-leading businesses, offering innovative solutions to estate agency, conveyancing, surveying, lender valuations, land asset management, environmental consultancy, and Government markets. As a Data Engineer within their growing team, you will play a crucial role in managing and analysing data, ensuring its quality, and contributing to process improvements.

To excel in this role, you should be an effective communicator with the ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders. Additionally, you should possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Experience in spatial analysis using GIS software such as FME, ESRI ArcGIS, or QGIS
  • Proficiency in database programming languages like SQL, R, or Python
  • Strong background in managing complex datasets in relational database environments
  • Ability to develop innovative algorithms and models for solving business problems related to location and address data

Your day to day will vary but you can expect to be:

  • Establishing and comprehending data format, quality, content, and sources.
  • Importing data from various data sources.
  • Generating custom outputs for team members through tailored SQL queries.
  • Comparing extensive datasets, such as postcodes and UPRNs.
  • Developing standard output requirements.
  • Contributing to enhancements in processes and tools.
