Do you want to work with in a role that's 95% fully remote but would require the need for travel to the middle east for a couple weeks at a time to work at one of their other sites? There are not many clients I work with that provide such an amazing opportunity.

My client is a leading developer and manufacturer of some highly refined vacuum products. With over 4,000 employees already around the world this allows my client to design, manufacture and support of exhaust management equipment. My client is also an integral part for manufacturing processes for: components, glass, pharmaceutical, chemical and for a large range of scientific instruments in an array of industries.

Role: Data Scientist

Salary: up to £55,000

Location: Most fully remote but there may be a need for 3 months to head out to the Middle east for 2 weeks at a time, with the opportunity to do several weeks at a time if preferred or the entire 3 months as one block.

My client is now looking for an experienced Data Scientist to join one of the vital component Division, reporting to the Divisions Analytics Manager. You will have an interest in the fundamentals of how the business works and contribute towards business success. As the Data scientist you will be researching and developing models and algorithms, whilst also developing visuals a d dashboards to convey model predictions.

Most of your responsibilities will be around building and developing hypotheses and models for data, which accurately predict aspects of equipment condition of performance, and can be used to underpin valuable service products and then present and communicate findings to stakeholders.

Key Requirements:

  • 3+ years in a Data Analytics or Data Science role (advantageous is experience in using data to study the performance of physical/industrial assets)
  • Experience using mainstream data analytics languages (e.g Python, R, matlab, Scala)
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git or SVN
