We work very closely with an MSP into one of the largest Central Government bodies who are looking to bring on a Data Scientist (AI) to come in and help with the following:

This is a role in our Artificial Intelligence team, and as Lead Data Scientist you will be supporting a product team including principal technologists, engagement leads and a delivery manager to:

Job Descripton

1.Support the delivery of the 10-year intent and strategy for your team in the adoption of AI across the Public Sector
2.Document best practice through the intricate realms of Natural Language Processing and Understanding (NLP/NLU), machine learning, and experimental design.
3.Identify efficient and effective ways to use advanced analytics, data science and automation to tackle business and organisational challenges.
4. Steer technical teams in data-driven projects in tandem with delivery and product managers, delineating project scopes and using your time efficiently. Ensure that projects not only provide technical solutions but also deliver business value.
5.Act as a digital ambassador across government, sponsoring AI/ML adoption, best practices, and collaboration and help upskill others in wider Government in AI adoption

This role requires:

  1. experience in data science, and machine learning
  2. understanding of AI algorithms and their use cases
  3. understanding of the data processing pipeline
  4. knowledge of retrieval augmented generation, and fine-tuning
  5. understanding of data pipelines and their unique versioning requirements.
  6. deep knowledge of evaluation metrics and test metrics
  7. deep knowledge of LLMs, GenAI, and Foundation Models in general
  8. understanding of the short and medium term developments in AI/ML.
  9. understanding of LLM vulnerabilities, safeguards, guardrails, and security.
  10. experience with profiling and performance optimisation of AI/ML systems.


This role will require you to be on-site 3 days per week in the London office. It's deemed Inside Ir35 paying £650.00 pd
