My client is a leading developer and manufacturer of some highly refined vacuum products. With over 4,000 employees already around the world this allows my client to design, manufacture and support of exhaust management equipment. My client is also an integral part for manufacturing processes for: components, glass, pharmaceutical, chemical and for a large range of scientific instruments in an array of industries.

Role: DataOps Engineer

Salary: up to 54k a year

Location: Burgess Hill- 1 day a week in the office

My client is looking for a DataOps Engineer to be responsible for getting analytical models running in a production environment and then connecting their predictions to users through UX components. This means you will assume responsibility for the DevOPs Process which includes the following: Guiding the design, and building, testing, releasing and iterating analytics products- Emphasizing quality, security and speed of delivery. You will also be helping the team deploy new models rapidly and safely, by building and operating CI/CD capability. You will also be required to help data scientists develop re-usable codes by identifying design patterns and creating code models that can be reused across prototyping and production.

Key responsibilities:

  • 3+ years in a DevOps or full- stack development role. (Ideally in a cloud or code- defined infrastructure environment using containers and Kubernetes.
  • Scripting and coding experience in a minimum of one general purpose language (python, C#, C & C++, or Go.
  • Experience implementing or operating within a secure software Development lifecycle.
  • Experience in orchestration applications for docker or Kubernetes, using YAML/Helm, or other DSL
