Up to £80 per hour
12 months contract
Plymouth - Hybrid (currently one week in four, travel is required on an average bi-weekly basis to visit designers / suppliers)

A pioneering engineering firm based in Bristol are urgently looking for a Design Manager Services / Mechanical Handling. They're working at the forefront of the defence technology industry and this role will see you playing a key role on a complex tactical communications system to enhance the required defence capabilities and critical assets.

You will be supporting the delivery of services and mechanical handling equipment within the Dock Facility in Devonport. You will be involved in mechanical handling equipment includes gantry cranes, pedestal cranes, and other tools for moving smaller loads around the facility.

Skills required:

• Experience of managing design production.
• Design of cranes through design process with experience of requirements substantiation thereof.
• Knowledge of lifting techniques, process etc within a facility-based production environment.
• Mechanical handling equipment consists of a gantry / goliath crane, fixed pedestal cranes.
• Experience of working on a nuclear licensed site.
