Title: Design Quality Engineer

Duration: 12 Months

Location: Filton.

Pay rate: Up to £35 per hour.

An innovative company at the forefront of the aerospace industry, located in Filton is actively seeking a Design Quality Engineer to join its engineering team. The company is globally recognized for its innovation and contributions to the aviation industry.

The chosen candidate will work in the Quality Engineering Airframe Wing, focusing on Quality Performance activities across all programs. Reporting to the Head of Quality Engineering Airframe Series Wing, the role entails resolving quality issues, driving continuous improvement projects, setting measurement standards, and facilitating enhancements to boost process performance and product adherence to standards. This involves improving the reliability and repeatability of processes during the initial design phase.

Tasks and responsibilities will include:

Facilitate root cause analysis and practical problem-solving.
Establish and implement corrective and preventive action plans for improving engineering performance and deliverables.
Identify and address risks/issues related to engineering quality through standardized mitigation plans.

Skills:

Relevant Quality and/or Engineering Experience
Project Management knowledge
Understanding of Failure modes effects analysis
Understanding of root cause analysis techniques (e.g. 9S, 8D, etc.)
