Position: Design Quality Engineer

Pay rate: £35 p/h inside IR35.

location: Broughton, UK

Role Type: Contract until April 2025 with an extension

IO Associates seeks a Design Quality Engineer for the Broughton site. Join a global aerospace leader specializing in commercial and military aircraft, helicopters, defense, and space sectors. This role offers a chance to contribute to innovative projects within a dynamic team shaping the future of aviation and space systems.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and execute enhancement initiatives to assist in reaching the Engineering Wing's quality objectives (Primary role activity).

Lead and aid in analyzing root causes and implementing practical problem-solving measures.
Develop and execute corrective and preventive action strategies to enhance engineering performance and deliverables.
Identify quality-related risks/issues and drive standardized mitigation plans to reduce product and process risks.
Assist in deploying and applying Quality standards across the Engineering organization.
Document lessons learned to enhance organizational efficiency and product maturity.

Skills:

Relevant Quality and Engineering Experience
Project Management Expertise
Familiarity with Failure Modes Effects Analysis
Proficient in root cause analysis techniques (e.g., 9S, 8D, etc.)
Effective interpersonal skills and professional behavior with all management levels
Quick learner with a positive attitude
Excellent communication skills in English (verbal and written)
Strong IT skills (Google Workspace/Microsoft Office)
