Embedded Hardware Engineer - Aerospace

Location: Austria

Type: Permanent, Hybrid

Their team is passionate about revolutionising air mobility through innovative propulsion systems.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, embedded systems engineering, computer engineering, technical computer science, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 4 years or more of practical experience in designing and developing embedded systems, including both hardware and software, with a focus on real-time architectures.
  • Experience working with aerospace systems such as avionics and flight control systems.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of embedded systems principles and microcontroller technologies.
  • Proficiency in reading PCB schematics and interpreting component datasheets.
  • Extensive understanding of CAN bus systems.
  • Strong programming skills in C and C++.
  • Fluency in English (C1 level or above)

Responsibilities:

  • Creating PCB designs which are verified under several environmental conditions (temperature, rain, etc.)
  • Collaboration in creation of hardware and systems architecture, as well as solutions for communication systems (CAN, EtherCAT, …)
  • Select hardware components and support with hardware configurations to meet requirements
  • Evaluate wired and wireless communication protocols such as USB, UART, Bluetooth or WiFi
  • Embedded programming of hardware-related software in C/C++
  • Testing of hardware systems and embedded programming
  • Collaborating with other teams, such as systems engineering, certification and testing
  • Using various tools and technologies, such as C/C++, Python, Arduino, Raspberry Pi, Git, Gitlab etc.
  • You will also be learning new tools and technologies as needed.
