Embedded Software Engineer - Bristol - £55,000

After multiple Bid wins, an established company that create manned & unmanned aircraft systems, have grown from 25-44 heads last year alone. Following on from that, they have established a new central Bristol office.

This team will focus on both commercial and military projects and have an immediate requirement to grow to about 15 heads. This office will act as a systems & software specialist hub and is a short walk from Temple Meads Station.

This Embedded Software Engineer role will allow you to specialise in product development, designing flight control software for personal air vehicles and air taxis. You'll be developing the Hardware Abstraction Layer requirements, models and code, providing an interface between the application layer and the target hardware.

You'll join the team in its infancy, and be a contributor to the development of its culture, growth and definition as recruitment is a focus for your new employer.

The role offers: £55,000, Bonus (usually minimum 10%) 25 days holiday, informal flexitime, central Bristol location, Pension & health cover.

Skills:

• Realtime Embedded C
• Experience of working in a regulated industry or safety critical software
• Understanding of design constraints due to target hardware
• Knowledge of: SPI, PCI, RS485/282, ARNIC (or similar)
