Engineering Manager | Bristol

Role: Engineering Manager

Location: Countrywide with Bristol based office

Elbit Systems in the UK are a Defence, Technology and Aerospace company working on a range of technologies for both military and civilian applications.

You will be working with a team of experienced and talented individuals across multiple disciplines and in an organisation that not only has the benefit of a global presence, but as a subsidiary means you will work in a small team environment, that is increasing rapidly and with lots of opportunity for growth.

What we’re looking for;

Due to our recent success securing multiple new contracts, we now require talented individuals to join us on this exciting journey.

We're looking to hire a Senior/Principal Systems Engineer who is looking to make the move to an Engineering Manager position and join us in delivering Project Selborne. We will be involved in the delivery of next-generation training capabilities for the Royal Navy. As we go about developing and deploying simulation systems we’re looking for an individual who has delivered similar or other complex systems to the MoD across Land, Sea or Air.

We are committed to creating an environment that allows individuals to thrive and grow and so believe that there is plenty of scope for an experienced Systems Engineer to make the move in to a role focussed equally of technical management and client delivery.

You will be part of a delivery team tasked with the design, development and deployment of a next eneration training facility and simulator capability for future synthetic training. You will be working closely with the Programme Director, Project Managers and also managing a team of engineers and developers to deliver the programme to quality, time and budget.

As Engineering Manager you will represent Elbit in technical discussions and own key stakeholder relationships for the delivery, from liaison with the Royal Navy to ensuring alignment and contact with the consortium as delivery is undertaken.

This role will suit a team player who is able to support a high performing simulation team by providing technical management and support, producing progress reports and training new team members as well as managing key stakeholder relationships and client deliverables. You'll need to have strong stakeholder management skills and be able to liaise with sub-contractors, propose budgets and ensure the project is delivered on time.

This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a 10+ year delivery programme that will shape the future of maritime training solutions and also the continued growth of Elbit within the UK.

What’s in it for you;

Elbit UK is at the forefront of technological innovation within our industry and as our presence grows in the UK, we want to recruit talented individuals to build a cohesive and diverse group on numerous projects. We offer competitive salary packages, flexible working hours, health care options, life cover, family friendly policies and a range of additional benefits including salary sacrifice schemes, discounts, access to Learning and Development tools and support for yours and your family’s health and wellbeing.

All the positions will be based full-time or with alternative flexible arrangement from our offices either in Bristol, London or home based (where the job allows).
