About the Opportunity
Are you passionate about using cutting-edge technology to accelerate pharmaceutical innovation and clinical development? We are looking for a Fullstack Developer to join our team on a contract basis and help build advanced digital and AI-driven solutions tailored for the pharmaceutical industry. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop secure, scalable, and compliant applications that support clinical research and drug development.
Your Role
Collaborate within an agile product team to design, develop, and maintain innovative GenAI-powered and digital applications for pharmaceutical R&D and clinical operations.
Build and enhance both backend and frontend components, ensuring high performance, security, and adherence to regulatory standards such as GxP and GDPR.
Translate complex business requirements into technical solutions by working closely with product owners, data scientists, QA, and other stakeholders.
Integrate pharmaceutical data standards and APIs (e.g., HL7, FHIR, CDISC) to enable seamless interoperability across clinical and healthcare systems.
Develop automation scripts and tools to support continuous integration, deployment, and system maintenance.
Troubleshoot, optimise, and improve existing systems with a focus on user experience and security.
What We're Looking For
Education & Experience
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 3 years of professional experience in fullstack development, with a strong emphasis on backend technologies.
Experience in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or regulated healthcare sectors is a strong advantage.
Technical Skills
Backend: Proficiency in Python (Django/Flask), Node.js, or Java (Spring Boot); experience with RESTful and GraphQL APIs; microservices architecture.
Frontend: Expertise in React.js (preferred), Angular, or Vue.js; solid knowledge of modern JavaScript/TypeScript and UI/UX best practices for regulated environments.
Cloud & DevOps: Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms such as AWS (Lambda, EKS/Fargate, S3, RDS, DynamoDB), Azure, or Google Cloud; Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK); CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
Data & Integration: Familiarity with pharma data standards (HL7, FHIR, CDISC); working knowledge of JSON, XML, and API integrations.
Testing & Quality: Automated testing methodologies (unit, integration, regression); version control using Git; Agile/Scrum workflows with tools like Jira and Bitbucket.
Security & Compliance: Experience developing software compliant with GxP and GDPR regulations. Familiarity with HIPAA is a plus but not required for this Germany-based role.
Language Requirements
Strong command of English is required.
Proficiency in German at B2 (upper-intermediate) to C1 (advanced) level according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) is also required, to ensure effective communication within our team and with German-speaking stakeholders.
Desirable Attributes
Exposure to GenAI, machine learning, or data mining techniques.
Experience with electronic data capture (EDC) or clinical trial management systems (CTMS).
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
Willingness to learn and adapt to evolving technologies and industry requirements.
