DevOps Engineer - Google Cloud Integration

Type: Contract - Outside IR35

iO Associates have partnered with an AI start-up who are looking for a google accredited DevOps Engineer with strong Google Cloud expertise and a solid background in coding to lead the integration of modern software stacks into secure, scalable GCP environments. You'll help build automated, resilient infrastructure that supports fast and reliable deployments across our platforms.

Responsibilities:

* Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Cloud Build, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.

* Deploy and manage containerized workloads with GKE and other GCP-native tools.

* Automate infrastructure provisioning with Terraform, Deployment Manager, or similar IaC tools.

* Collaborate with developers to enhance performance, reliability, and monitoring.

* Optimize systems for cost, scalability, and operational efficiency.

Requirements:

* 3+ years in DevOps, with experience in software development.

* Strong coding background in Python, Go, or another backend language.

* At least one Google Cloud certification (e.g., Cloud DevOps Engineer, Cloud Architect, or Security Engineer).

* Experience with Kubernetes (preferably GKE), Docker, and microservices.

* Strong Git workflows and automation-first mindset.

* Solid understanding of GCP IAM, networking, and secret management.

This is a contract role outside IR35, offering flexibility and the chance to work on high-impact cloud transformation projects.
