The rolling hills of the Cotswolds makes the area quite remarkable to the eye, so as commutes go, this one of the good ones.

My client, a medical device manufacturer based in the Cotswold's are looking for a Graduate Validation Engineer to join their team.

In this role you will be responsible for implementing validation production processes and working on a project basis to deliver operational improvements such a reducing waste, improving quality and safety as well as reducing costs. You will report to the Validation Manager and depending on your experience will receive training in any areas that need upskilling.

As you progress within the role you will be exposed to more and more responsibilities such as supporting NC/CAPAs, leading validation activities, monitoring test equipment, developing appropriate KPIs and metrics, preparing compliance reports and supporting project management and engineering to deliver projects on time and within budget.


You will also use your knowledge product design, fabrication and assembly, tooling and materials and conferring with equipment vendors to evaluate validation processes.

To be successful in this role you will need a degree in a relevant engineering discipline with ideally some work experience, be that 1 or 2 years working or an industrial placement year. You will also need to have a real appetite for statistics and maths and as well as an ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders, customers and colleagues.

You will also have:

  • Experience in validation / production / manufacturing
  • Establishing metrics / KPIs to drive production / manufacturing improvement
  • Worked in international quality standards, preferably medical devices ISO13485
  • Developing standard operation procedures, and work instructions

Medical device experience is not essential, but would be a big advantage.
