Role: Head of Development

Salary: £100,000 to £120,000

Location: London Head Office - flexible options

A leading digital agency is looking for a Head of Development. Working closely with the CTO, you'll take the lead on the full SDLC, people management and team leadership, mentoring and opportunities for coaching & development, pitching in with coding and programming expertise and generally guiding the team to success.

Skills and Experience:

- Team leadership - in this role, you'll be working with with front and back end devs & testers

- Designing and delivering architectures and on-prem ecosystems

- SaaS Headless CMSs: Contentful, Contentstack or Amplience

- Digital Experience Platforms (DXP) - track record in designing and implementing

- Understanding of marketing technologies and SaaS platforms

- Jamstack, cloud native architectures (ideally Azure), JavaScript applications e.g. React, Vue

- Good understanding of software development in a digital environment

- Understanding of best practice with microservices, API development and scalability - ideally within Azure

Tech/Coding Experience:

- Experience with JavaScript/C#

- CMS e.g. Sitecore, Optimizely, Sitecore

- Recent experience on SaaS Headless CMSs: Contentful, Contentstack or Amplience

- Agile methodology experience

- 2+ years' experience in a supervisory capacity

- Cloud infrastructure and DevOps experience: Azure architect or similar

In this role, you'll be supported by the team around you but also by the CTO. You'll receive ongoing development and training in the areas you'd like and also take part in bi-annual feedback surveys.
