iO is currently partnering with the one of the Top 10 companies in the '100 FinTech Disrupters ranking for 2020' and they are looking for a new Head of Engineering.

They are storming ahead of the traditional banks in a specific area of banking; their core product is a cloud-based platform which allows any third party to get access to the full UK clearing system through an API plugin, which is an infrastructure that allows for payments in real-time.

Their aim is to become the dominant underlying platform used for clearing by all financial institutions, including the high street giants - and they are already succeeding in that, looking to their next exciting projects/products.

Role:

We are looking for a Head of Engineering who will manage a cross-functional team of up to 50 engineers (SDETs, Frontend/Backend). We're looking for someone who has previous experience of managing similar numbers of people.

You will have totally autonomy when making all the team's technology choices.

As Head of Engineering, you would be accountable for the successful strategic direction and execution of changes and support; and manage how you deal with failure and how you measure and celebrate success.

A positive & supportive agile culture is vital to this company, so the role will include promoting this through great mentoring & encouragement. Challenges naturally pop up in the working week, so we're looking for someone who can tackle those head-first with a clear mindset.

This is also a client-facing role; bringing their stakeholders on the journey and helping shape the strategic direction of the business.

A familiarity with C#.Net, Azure, Azure SQL/Cosmos DB, Microservices & automated testing would be a huge bonus.

You will be instrumental in the continued growth of one the best and most innovative companies in the UK.

Roles can be fully remote permanently, or with some days in their London office (when safe) - that's entirely up to the individual's preference.
