• Master's degree or PhD in electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, embedded systems engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience designing and developing hardware and software systems for aircraft
• Deep understanding of embedded systems and electrical motors in the aerospace context.
• Proven track record in leading complex engineering projects from concept to completion.
• Proficient in English.

Job Description

As the Lead Hardware & Software Engineer, you will:

• Oversee the design, development, testing, and integration of cyclo-rotor (eDrive and rotor) hardware and software components, including motors, sensors, controllers, algorithms, and interfaces.
• Apply industry standards (DO178, DO254, ARP4754) to ensure safety, reliability, and quality of their patented rotor systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including aerodynamics, structures, simulation, systems engineering, certification, testing, and customer engagement.
• Provide technical guidance to team members and fellow engineers.
• Report to the Head of Engineering and actively participate in meetings and reviews.
• Prepare and present technical reports and documentation.
• Utilise tools like MATLAB/Simulink, C/C++, Python, Arduino, Raspberry Pi, Git, and Gitlab.
• Continuously learn and adapt to new technologies.
