Elbit Systems in the UK are a Defence, Technology and Aerospace company working on a range of technologies for both military and civilian applications. With six subsidiaries and two joint ventures we are engaged in a range of defence programmes in the UK.

You will be working with a team of experienced and talented individuals across multiple disciplines and in an organisation that not only has the benefit of a global presence, but as a subsidiary means you will work in a small team environment, that is increasing rapidly and with lots of opportunity for growth.

What we're looking for;

Due to our recent success securing multiple new contracts, we now require talented individuals to join us on this exciting journey.

We are looking for a Head of Systems Engineering to join us in creating a world-class Systems Engineering function - you will be working alongside a recently appointed Head of PMO and Director of Programmes and Engineering as we continue our growth.

The role is a new one and will provide the right individual with the opportunity to be involved in shaping the future ways of working and systems engineering approach of the business. Having won a number of programmes in the last 6 months and delivering on a number of others for the UK MoD already, this role will be pivotal in our continued enterprise growth in the UK and be set to become future leaders and directors of the business in years to come.

In the role you will be responsible for defining delivery and development approach company-wide, working closely with engineering managers and systems teams across Land, Sea & Air that cover areas such as C4i, EW, ISTAR and Training & Simulation. These teams are involved in delivering some of the UKs most bleeding-edge solutions and we're looking for an individual that is passionate about installing a unified delivery approach across engineering and programme management and is excited by the prospect of defining the technologies of the future.

You would be responsible for;

  • Identification of Opportunities for Improvement (OFI) and recommending solutions for incorporation into both the engineering processes and wider business processes.

  • Producing and maintaining all Systems Engineering & Integration processes and supporting documentation.

  • Management of Integration Labs - elicitation of project requirements, recommending solutions, working with the facilities team to implement them and support during delivery.

  • Providing the provisions for the continued growth of the business and the engineering department.
