Integration Engineer for Defence

iO Associates have partnered with an exciting new business in the UK within the defence sector in their recruitment of an Integration Engineer to join as they build a brand new lab facility in Bristol.

The company are on the framework for some of the biggest projects in the UK defence scene and have bought genuine innovation to the market, positioning them as a disruptive force in market.

Owing to their expansion, they are now in a position to begin bringing more engineering process's in house as they look to expand their capability, which has led to them developing a new lab facility where they aim to integrate 3rd party products into the systems they have designed, which is what has led to this requirement.

The Integration Engineer will be the first of several hires within this domain and will be tasked with the integration and test of Electro-Mechanical sub-assemblies in to the companies products, including Electrical Cabling and bits of Software, as well as testing to military and defence standards.

The opportunity within this position is immediate as, while initially project specific, the company is viewing this as an opportunity to bring an entire engineering unit in house to work across multiple projects, meaning a great opportunity to progress your career and join the business as build a whole new department.

In order to be considered for this role you will need demonstrable experience in the following fields:

• Complex Systems Integration experience
• Problem solving and an analytical mind
• Integration and test planning experience
• understanding of messaging and routing protocols, TCP/IP, UDP.

Defence background is preferred but not essential for this requirement, though you will be required to undergo an SC Clearance (Five Eyes preferred).
