iOS Developer

Tewkesbury

£400-£450 per day

Due to our clients continuing growth and workload we need to recruit a freelance contract iOS Developer for a minimum of 6 months.


All candidates will be required to obtain and maintain an appropriate UK security clearance.


We are looking for a skilled mobile developer with experience in building business focused applications for iOS-based devices and integrating our trusted modular communications architecture into a number of new mobile applications to meet a significant operational need for our customers.


Your primary focus will be development of iOS applications and their integration with back-end services.
You will be working alongside other engineers and developers working on different layers of the infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build applications for the iOS platform
  • Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
  • Collaborate with a team to define, design, and ship new features
  • Agile sprint based development prioritising feature maturity to meet evolving requirements
  • Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs
  • Help maintain code quality and organization


Skills

  • Proficient with Swift and Cocoa Touch. Some experience of Objective C
  • Knowledge of native Xamarin and C# development on iOS
  • Experience with offline storage, secure enclave, threading, and performance tuning
  • Familiarity with web APIs to connect iOS applications to back-end services. Familiarity with Microsoft EWS a bonus.
  • Knowledge of UI/UX standards
  • Understanding of current Apple's design principles and interface guidelines
  • Knowledge of integration of 3rd party and low-level C-based libraries.
  • Usage of APNs
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools preferably Git
  • Familiarity with iOS continuous integration
