Java Software Engineer - Banking Applications (6-12 Months Contract) - Zurich, Hybrid Work

We are seeking a talented Java Software Engineer to join our team in Zurich for a 6-12 month contract. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining mission-critical banking applications using a cutting-edge tech stack, playing a key role in shaping the future of our digital platform.

What you'll do:

  • Develop and maintain scalable, secure, and efficient Java applications for banking services
  • Design and implement new features and functionalities from scratch
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business analysts, QA testers, and product owners
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure high-quality standards are met
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Java technologies and best practices
  • Work closely with DevOps team to implement continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using Azure DevOps
  • Build user interfaces using Angular

What we're looking for:

  • Strong knowledge of Java programming language and object-oriented design principles
  • Experience with Spring Framework and related technologies
  • Experience with continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines using Azure DevOps
  • Familiarity with Angular for building web user interfaces
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Passion for learning and staying up-to-date with new technologies

Bonus points if you have:

  • Experience developing banking applications
  • Experience using cloud platforms like Azure
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies
