Junior Security Analyst

I am currently working on an exciting opportunity based in the Swindon area. I will be looking to speak with Junior Security Analyst who is either in an existing role or an aspiring security analyst looking to start their career in IT Security. This opportunity offers free inhouse training and development with clear promotion targets.

  • DV Clearable: This position will require you to undertake DV clearance (Provided via Company) and therefore only available to British Nationals. Once complete you will be viable to their DV bonus.

Job Overview:

This role will ensure that technological & organisational security practices are consistent with ISO27001, NIST 0800-53, MOD and other government standards. The role will involve you becoming familiar with security standards and practices including scanning and protective monitoring, (physical) access control systems, CCTV systems, security models and architectures and Information security threats.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Review of security incidents and ensure correct closure and future prevention Assist in local InfoSec reviews and feedback from external audits
  • Involvement in Operational Security Services such as SOC, SIEM, Penetration Testing & Vulnerability scanning
  • Review, interpret and act upon information provided by E365 security toolsets
  • Review of security related change requests that are received for Data Centre customer tenancies.

Skills and experiences:

  • Must be able to hold a DV Security Clearance
  • Good understanding of IT security
  • Basic knowledge of Windows, MS 365, Linux, Virtualisation, Networking and storage and a working knowledge of E365 Security toolsets
  • If you have graduated from university with a Cyber related course, this would be advantageous.
  • Hold valid security clearance or undergo the process to achieve the desired level of security clearance which includes the highest level
  • Any experience of security related technologies, processes, methods or architectures is desirable.
