Our client, a global engineering powerhouse supporting next-generation vehicle development, is seeking a Lead Engineer - Suspension to join their expanding team in Gothenburg. This is an opportunity to work at the forefront of automotive innovation, delivering cutting-edge suspension solutions for premium passenger vehicles.
What You'll Do:
- Lead the design and development of suspension system components - including air springs, dampers, coil springs, subframes, link arms, and more
- Define specifications, verification criteria, and test plans aligned with performance, quality, and cost objectives
- Drive supplier engagement and cross-functional collaboration to ensure on-time, high-quality delivery
- Own system documentation (DFMEA, DV/PV plans, design reviews) throughout the entire product lifecycle
- Work closely with system architects and attribute teams to shape the suspension system's behavior and integration
- Support validation through CAE, testing, and agile ceremonies across the vehicle development process
What You Bring:
- 8-10 years of hands-on experience in suspension system design and validation
- Strong command of product development processes, vehicle dynamics, material science, and DFM/DFA principles
- Expertise in tools such as Teamcenter, KDP, and PLM systems
- Ability to lead technical discussions, drive issue resolution, and deliver high-quality documentation
- Passion for collaboration and a knack for problem-solving in fast-paced environments
