Following the win of Selborne at the end of December we are looking for a Senior/Lead Hardware Engineer to join us on the development and delivery of state of the start training and simulation capability for the Royal Navy.

You will be working as part of a delivery team consisting of Systems Engineers, Developers, Infrastructure Engineers and Project Managers to architect, develop and deploy the future solution.

Role: Lead Hardware Engineer

Location: North Bristol

Salary: £60,000 - £75,000 + significant benefits package

With the role of Lead Hardware Engineer on the project you will be responsible for ensuring all designs and developments of technical specifications meet the requirements to ensure that the simulator is able to deploy synthetic environments for training. This will see you involved with the security, infrastructure, hardware and also liaising with third party suppliers who will also be integrating in to the product.

This is a truly unique opportunity and will see you shape the future of Naval training over the coming years as well as being involved in the growth of the hardware team over the coming years.

Ideally we are looking for individuals with prior experience working within and delivering to the UK MoD but at the core of the role we are looking for an individual that is truly excited by both technology and the opportunity to join us on the journey over the coming years.

Skills we're looking for;

  • Virtualisation
  • Simulation and training systems
  • Simulation/ networked gaming integration
  • TCIP/ IP and networking concepts

Experience in all of the above technology is not mandatory. The ideal candidate will have solid hardware experience and the ability to pick up new technology.

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead system and software integration
  • Configuration management
  • Installation and configuration of computer systems
  • Project delivery
