Lead Simulation Hardware Engineer - SC Cleared - Remote - Contract - OUTSIDE IR35

iO Associates are currently looking for an SC Cleared Lead Simulation Hardware Engineer to join my client for an initial 6-month contract role (OUTSIDE IR35) offering a competitive day rate for an immediate start. This role offers remote working with the occasional visit to the client's headquarters in Bristol (e.g. once a month) This is a long-term project so this role will more than likely extend over a long duration.

You must be SC Cleared and be available to start a new role in the next 4 weeks.

You will be the first point of contact for the team, providing HW support and HW Engineering expertise for simulation projects. The role will provide support to the team during system design and integration for of all system components covering desktop assets, visual display system, simulation hardware, peripheral devices and servers.

You must have experience with the following:

HW engineering experience (commercial, v-model)
Configuration Management
Experience of Installing and configuring computer systems
Proficient in customer requirement analysis
Competent in problem solving and analytical techniques in a methodical and logical manner
Experience in network design and configuration
An understanding of TCP/IP and networking concepts
Ability to diagnose and solve hardware/software faults, escalating when necessary
Experience of VMware vSphere administration
Facility requirements definition
Must have active SC Clearance
