Lead Software Architect (m/f/d)

€90,000 to €129,000 Basic Salary per year + up to 12% Annual Bonus + Support for International Relocation

iO Associates are currently partnered with an innovative and ambitious Aerospace company, who are seeking a Lead Software Architect to work at their HQ in Hamburg.

In this role you will lead software architectural design and strategy, with a focus on stabilising current products and developing improved 2nd generation products. This is not a people management position however you will work across multiple teams and stakeholders.

As the products are airborne you will be working to DO178C protocols, so experience in similar highly regulated industries such as medical, defence, or space, is required. The successful candidate will have extensive experience across full-lifecycle software development, with confidence working at the systems/architecture level and excellent stakeholder management skills.

The company are developing world-class electrical systems which are utilised by aircraft OEMs globally. They are looking for an Architect with the motivation to develop and deliver their own vision and implement this across the organisation.

The Role:

  • Leading software architectural design and development at product and enterprise level.
  • Technical decision making together with multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Stakeholder management of multiple heads of department, product owners, Architects, etc.
  • Covering new product development alongside stabilisation & improvement of existing products.

The Requirements:

  • Experience as a Software Architect in a highly regulated industry such as aerospace, space, defence, medical, rail, or automotive.
  • Highly experienced across full-lifecycle software development and confident defining product & enterprise software architecture.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Business fluent in English.
